Community Development

Bringing wind energy to your community can be a very rewarding investment. From property tax revenues, jobs, education, and even the opportunity to produce power for your own organization also putting your community in the spot light. Synergy Energy, LLC will work with you through the development process to ensure your you are maximizing all incentives possible and keeping within your set budget.

Below are the steps generally taken from start to production on your renewable energy facility.

Pre-Development
The pre-development phase qualifies the project attributes, including wind speeds and direction, and identifies environmental or permitting issues. The pre-development phase also provides data that allows a comprehensive economic understanding of the project.

The key activities during pre-development are the following:

  • Site selection
  • Economic analysis
  • Land lease agreements
  • Community education, collaboration
  • Environmental review
  • Wind assessment
  • Permitting and licensing

Development
During the development phase, the project progresses from engineering plans and power sales agreements to financing and construction of the facility. The construction typically takes six to nine months.

The key activities during the development phase are:

  • Construction contracting
  • Interconnection design
  • Site civil design
  • Systems engineering
  • Geotechnical studies
  • Turbine selection and procurement
  • Project financing
  • Interconnection agreements
  • Power purchase agreements

Education

The installation of a renewable resource whether it be wind or solar can be a great opportunity to educate our future leaders. Combined with the overall pre-development and construction comes data monitoring. Given the opportunity teachers can use this on site data for curriculum in the classroom.

Classrooms all over the country are learning the advantages of renewable energy sources through programs offered these respected organizations we support, as well as other organizations:
