Downwind

• Faces into the wind with the turbine blades in front of the Nacelle.
• Upwind turbines need a tail to align rotor with wind direction in most cases

• Blades face to the rear of the Nacelle away from the wind.
• Downwind turbines do not need a tail as the rotor performs this task.
